Vanilla Blackberry Cupcake Soap

Tonight I really have no idea what to blog about.  I am hoping as I type, something will just come out and this will turn into a great, quick little read. I asked my husband what I should blog about and he said "You should blog about how sexy your husband is" I said "OK, and how do I relate that to my soap?" His reply... "Tell them how you get me squeaky clean!"

Well this blog is not going to be about that!!

However, I do think I am going to zone in on one of my soaps and tell you why I added one specific ingredient to my batch. Tonight I want to quickly tell you more about the vanilla blackberry cupcake soap. I added bentonite clay. What is that you ask???

Bentonite clay is a very fine powder from volcanic ash that is highly absorbent. It draws out impurities such as oils and toxins like sebum. Too much sebum can lead to acne. Sebum is a bacteria that makes the skin oily by trying to help protect the skin from drying out. The skin can become unbalanced when there is to much sebum and the pores can become clogged. The bentonite clay acts like a sponge and helps detoxify your skin be removing the micro particles in the pores. It helps dry the skin up. There are antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties in the clay that can help heal the skin from irritation or redness.

The vanilla blackberry cupcake soap can be helpful in treating oily skin, acne breakouts or it may have a calming effect on inflamed breakouts. You can keep your pores healthy by adding this bar of soap to your skin care routine.

If you already deal with issues such as flaky skin, eczema, or psoriasis, I would not recommend this bar as you don't want to dry your skin out further.

Well, I feel that turned out pretty darn good! Nice, to the point, and specific. Have a great night, off to bed I go!
